The starting line
Where they started
Frontier Waste Solutions is a Texas-based, locally owned waste and recycling company. It picks up trash at homes, hauls for businesses and rents roll-off dumpsters across the Texas Triangle: Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi, Waco and the towns in between.
Online, almost none of that showed. The website pulled in about 460 visitors a month. Brand searches, people typing “Frontier Waste” into Google, were at zero. A homeowner who needed a dumpster or a new trash service found someone else.
If you run a home service business in Dallas, you know that spot. Good crews, real trucks, and a website that doesn’t ring the phone.
The work
What we built
Digital Ducats launched an SEO program and enhanced the website so it clearly communicated Frontier’s services and the locations it serves. That’s how the work is described in the client’s review on The Manifest, which also singled out Christian Carere’s attention to detail.
The ranking data shows the shape of it today:
- Services described the way people search. Frontier ranks on page one for trash service, trash removal and dumpster rental searches, in the words customers actually type.
- City pages for the markets Frontier serves. Its Houston, Austin and Waco dumpster rental pages sit in Google’s top 10. San Antonio bulk and garbage pickup terms rank between #5 and #9.
- Breadth, not a handful of trophies. About 6,700 keywords rank in Google, and 2,915 of them are on page one.
None of that is a trick. It’s the same foundation we build for contractors with our SEO services and local SEO: clear service pages, real city pages, and a site Google can read.
Rankings, October 2026

- #1 for “trash service near me”, about 74,000 searches a month
- #1 for “trash removal near me”, about 9,900 searches a month

- #1 for its own brand terms, about 14,800 and 6,600 searches a month, from a starting point of zero
- 2,915 keywords in the top 10 out of roughly 6,700 ranking, with 183 at #1
DataForSEO estimates this organic traffic would cost about $434K a month to buy as Google Ads. That’s an estimate, not a bill anyone paid. Ranking data: DataForSEO, US Google, October 2026.
The growth in one picture
460 users then, 30,000+ now.
The first year did the heavy lifting: organic traffic up 412% and $360K in new revenue from website leads, $50K of it recurring. Then the rankings kept compounding. Today the site brings in 30,000+ users a month.
That’s the part of this dumpster rental SEO case study a contractor should notice. Pages that rank keep bringing in calls after the work is done. Nobody pays per click for them.
What happened next
Acquired by GFL Environmental
On April 1, 2026, GFL Environmental closed its acquisition of Frontier Waste Solutions, according to GFL’s announcement. GFL described Frontier as a vertically integrated solid waste network with 24 sites in Texas, more than 650 vehicles and about 1,000 employees. Terms were not disclosed.
We’re not going to tell you SEO sold a company. It didn’t. Frontier built a real business with real trucks and real people. The website and its search presence were part of the business GFL acquired, and the site has kept growing through the change.
For a Dallas contractor, the takeaway is simpler: rankings are an asset. They keep producing calls month after month, and they belong to your business, not to an ad platform or a lead seller.

Questions about the Frontier case study
How long did it take?
The first 12 months produced the headline numbers: organic traffic up 412% and $360K in new revenue from website leads, $50K of it recurring. The climb from about 460 to 30,000+ monthly users came as the rankings kept compounding after that first year. Organic SEO builds over months, so we pair it with faster channels for contractors who need calls now. How long SEO takes.
Does this apply to home service businesses in Dallas?
Yes. Frontier sells residential trash pickup and dumpster rental, and its customers search the same way yours do: “near me” searches from homeowners who want someone local, today. A plumber, roofer or HVAC company in Dallas wins those searches with the same pieces: service pages, real city pages and a site Google trusts.
