Contractor website design
Websites that turn clicks into booked calls.
Contractor website design for Dallas home service businesses: fast on a phone, one tap to call or book, and built so Google understands every service and city you work in.

What’s included
Four parts of a site that books jobs.
- 01Speed on a phoneBuilt to a sub-2-second mobile load target, on real cell signal, not office Wi-Fi.
- 02One-tap call and bookSticky call bar, short forms, real photos and your reviews right where people decide.
- 03Service and city pagesA page for each job you want, structured so Google can read what you do and where.
- 04Call tracking and analyticsEvery call and form tied to the page and channel that sent it.
You’re looking at the proof.
We don’t have a stack of Dallas web design case studies to show you, and we won’t make one up. What we can show you is this site. It’s built the way we build client sites: mobile-first, light on scripts, one action colour so the call and book buttons are the only things that shout, and a phone number that’s never more than a thumb away.
Open it on your phone, scroll a service page and count how many taps it takes to call. Your site gets held to the same standard. Behind it is Digital Ducats, which has spent more than ten years marketing home service businesses and has the numbers below to show for it.

Discovery
We map the jobs you want more of, the cities you serve and what your current site is costing you: load time, dead pages, missing calls. Then we agree on the page list before anything gets designed.
Design and build
Mobile layouts first, with your real crew and truck photos, your reviews and a call button on every screen. We write service and city pages with real copy, not lorem ipsum, and you review it all before launch.
Launch and tracking
Old URLs get redirected so you keep what already ranks. Call tracking and analytics go live on day one, so the first monthly report shows calls, forms and the pages that drove them.
How a contractor site earns calls
Web design for contractors is a phone call problem.
Most homeowners who land on your site are standing in a flooded laundry room or staring at a dead condenser in August. They’re on a phone, often on a weak signal, and they’ll give your site a few seconds before they hit back and call the next business on the map. Pretty doesn’t matter if it loads slowly or hides the number.
What every site we build has
- A sub-2-second mobile load target. Compressed images, minimal scripts, no slider eating the first screen. See how we handle site speed.
- One-tap call and book flows. A sticky call bar on mobile, a booking button on every page and forms that ask for what you need and nothing else.
- Real photos and real reviews. Your trucks, your crew, your finished work. Reviews sit next to the call button, where trust gets decided.
- A CMS you can edit. Change a phone number, add a photo or post a seasonal offer without calling us.
Plumber and roofing website design are different jobs
Plumber website design is built for emergencies: the number goes first, “24/7” has to be true, and the burst pipe and water heater pages need to load before the customer gives up. Roofing website design leans the other way. A roof replacement after a North Texas hailstorm is a big, considered purchase, so the site needs inspection booking, project photos, insurance claim answers and reviews that mention real neighborhoods. Both get the same system, weighted differently page by page.
Structured for search from day one
A good-looking site with one “Services” page can’t rank for “water heater repair Richardson.” We build a page for each service and each city that matters, linked so Google can follow how they fit together. Done carelessly, city pages compete with each other and drag your map rankings down, so we only build the ones with real demand and give each one its own job. That’s also why generic Dallas web design shops struggle with contractors: they build brochures, not service areas.
What we won’t do
- Hand you a template with your logo swapped in.
- Lock your site on a platform only we can edit.
- Launch without redirects and wipe out rankings you already earned.
- Fill it with stock handshakes and “quality you can trust” filler.
Already have a site you like? We don’t always start from scratch. Sometimes the right move is fixing speed, the call flow and the page structure on what you have. Tell us what you’re working with on the contact page or on a discovery call, and we’ll say which route makes more sense for your trucks and your budget.
Wondering about budget? Read how much a contractor website costs and what drives the number, then see how the site fits with the rest of our services. Once it’s live, conversion rate optimization keeps turning more of the same traffic into calls.

Website design questions
How long does a contractor website take to build?
It depends on how many service and city pages you need and how fast we get your photos and feedback. A focused site moves faster than one covering ten trades across all of DFW. We set the page list and timeline in discovery, so you know the launch window before design starts.
How much does a contractor website cost?
The number of pages, how much copy we write, integrations like booking and call tracking, and whether we’re migrating an old site all drive the budget. You get a quote once we’ve run the audit on a discovery call. Our guide on what a website costs breaks down each factor.
Will a new site hurt my Google rankings?
Not if the move is planned. We map every old URL that gets traffic or links and redirect it to its new page, keep the content that ranks and check Search Console after launch. Most ranking drops after a redesign come from skipped redirects and deleted pages, which is exactly what we plan around.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. You get a CMS you can edit, so changing hours, adding job photos or posting a seasonal offer doesn’t need a ticket. You own the site and the domain. If you’d rather not touch it, we can handle updates for you as part of an ongoing plan.
