SEO audit

A contractor SEO audit that tells you what to fix first

An SEO audit built for Dallas home service businesses. We check your Google Maps listing, your organic rankings, your Local Service Ads and your website, then hand you one ranked 90-day fix list instead of a stack of warnings.

The problem

You’ve seen audits. They didn’t tell you what to do Monday.

Most contractors have been sent an “audit” at some point. Usually it’s a free tool report: 60 pages, a score out of 100, a few hundred red and yellow flags. Missing alt text sits right next to “your service pages aren’t in Google,” with no hint which one matters. So nothing gets fixed, or the cheap stuff gets fixed and the expensive problem stays.

There’s a second gap. Those reports only look at your website. A homeowner in Mesquite with a dead AC unit might call from the map pack, a Local Service Ad, an organic result or an answer in ChatGPT. If the audit skips three of those four, it misses where most of your calls come from.

A useful audit answers two plain questions. Where are you losing calls to competitors today? And what should you fix first, second and third to get them back? Everything else is detail.

How the audit runs.

  1. Get read-only access

You share view access to Search Console, your Google Business Profile and your LSA account. No passwords handed over, nothing changed.

  2. Measure where calls go

We grid your map rankings across your service area, pull organic rankings for your money keywords and look at the three competitors winning the most searches.

  3. Rank every problem

Each issue is scored by how many calls it likely costs and how hard it is to fix. Big and easy goes to the top. Small and hard goes to the bottom.

  4. Walk you through the 90-day list

On a call, we go line by line: what we found, what to fix in month one, two and three, and what you can safely ignore.

Inside the fix list

What a good SEO audit hands you.

The deliverable is short on purpose. You get a ranked list of fixes split into three 30-day blocks, a one-page summary of where you stand on each channel, and screenshots of the evidence behind every finding. If you hire us, it becomes our work plan. If you don’t, your team or your current agency can work straight from it.

Month one: stop the leaks

These are the problems already costing you calls. A service page Google dropped from its index. A profile listed under the wrong primary category. LSA job types left unchecked, so you never show for half your work. Fixes like these usually take hours, not weeks.

Month two: close the gap to the top three

Now we compare you against the businesses ranking above you. Maybe they have three times the recent reviews, a real page for each core service, or links from local suppliers and sponsors. The audit names the gap and the order to close it.

Month three: build what compounds

Content, local links and city pages done properly. That last one matters. Digital Ducats audited a plumbing company whose dozens of near-identical city pages were competing with each other. After consolidating them, its average map ranking improved by roughly 70% in six days. (Read the case study.)

Why we look at Dallas the way homeowners do

DFW is too big to measure from one zip code. A garage door company in Carrollton can rank first on the map near its shop and drop out of sight in Frisco or along I-635. We check rankings on a grid across the area you actually drive to, so the audit shows where calls are going to someone else.

What we won’t do

  • Hand you an automated score and call it analysis.
  • Pad the list with low-value items to make the job look bigger.
  • Promise a ranking position. Nobody controls Google.

The audit sits at the start of our SEO services, and many of the site fixes roll into technical SEO. If AI answers are a big part of your market, the AI visibility audit goes deeper on that channel.

SEO audit questions

Is there a free SEO audit for Dallas businesses?

Yes. Request a free growth plan or book a discovery call and we’ll run a quick audit of your map rankings, Google Business Profile, LSA setup and site before we talk. The full audit with a ranked 90-day fix list is scoped after that call, based on the size of your site and service area.

What’s the difference between an SEO audit and a local SEO audit?

A standard SEO audit looks at your website: crawling, indexing, content and links. A local SEO audit adds the Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and map rankings across your service area. Home service businesses get most calls from local results, so ours covers both, plus Local Service Ads.

How long does an SEO audit take?

It depends on how big your site is and how many channels you run. A small contractor site with one profile is quicker than a multi-location company with hundreds of pages and several LSA accounts. We give you a delivery date when we scope the audit, and we walk you through the results on a call.

How much do SEO audit services cost?

Cost depends on the number of pages, locations and ad accounts involved, and on how deep the competitor review needs to go. We don’t publish a flat price because a 20-page site and a 500-page site are different jobs. We quote after the quick audit on your discovery call. Contact us to start.
